Biola Bound

Oh me oh my! I have so much to say but not enough time right now. So I'll just post the most recent news... I got accepted to Biola! Woo! I'm not surprised, but getting the letter made it so much more real. I'm almost positive I am going to go there in the fall, I'm just scared. That's normal though, right? Time to spend a lot of time in prayer! I know it will be a great experience so I'm not going to worry about it right now. I'll keep everyone posted on my decisions!

Have I found you, flightless bird?

It's been a while so I figured I should update this thing. I must start off by saying that I am so grateful to COC for giving me us such a long winter break. As much fun as I have been having over break, I still don't feel very rested. I'm busy all the time between work and friends. It's not a bad thing, but I think I need to take a couple of days to just collect myself... and clean my room completely.
There have been two things bothering me though recently. First, I cannot find my checkbook anywhere. The only thing giving me piece of mind is that I know it isnt stolen since I haven't taken it out of my house since November when I used it to pay for getting my hair done. It is so frustrating though that it still isn't showing and it's been about a week now. Hopefully it's in my car and I just didn't look hard enough because I really believe it is not in my room. Second, my lack of sleep. I fall asleep late and I have been waking up before my alarm EVERY DAY. Granted, I'm still not waking up that early, but it's early when you go to sleep as late as I do. Cant a girl get some sleep over break??
Well enough of me complaining! Here is some big news, my Biola application is sent! Yes, in August I may be moving away for school at Biola University. It is really scary but I'm starting to get excited again. I pretty sure I'll get in (since I have before), but I dont know if I'm ready. I think I'll just need to take a leap of faith! The hardest part is going to be leaving my friends. Especially when your best friends are saying "don't leave me". Yeah, that doesn't help, it's not like I want to leave them behind either, I just need to move forward.
So besides all of that I don't think I've done anything too exciting since Disneyland. Before I wrap this up completely I have a music recommendation, "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" by Iron and Wine. It's off the Twilight soundtrack and I love it. When you really listen to it, the words are pretty strange, but it has a nice melody and I love it!
Now I'm off to start my weekend!

Just a late night thought...

Yesterday was a great day and today wasn't half bad either. I rested for the first time in awhile and my sink is fixed... hooray for it being able to drain! I'm plagued with a hint of sadness though.

Recently Sam's friend asked him to watch his hamster San (prounced like S ON) while he was out of town. Last night San passed away and I found out this morning. Normally I wouldn't feel so upset since it's Sam's friend's hamster, but the look on my brother's face today made me feel horrible. It clearly wasn't his fault, San was old for a hamster, she was about a year and a half, but clearly Sam thinks it was =[

So now I feel terrible for Sam and the poor little hamster who is no longer with us. What was even worse was that after Sam told his friend Steven, he had to figure out what to do with it because Steven didn't want to know. I really shouldn't feel so bad for a hamster but I do. I heard some noise from my brother's room so i went in and it was just his hamster moving in his sleep. Then i started to feel sad for Chili (Sam's hammy), he lost his friend, I know I am such a girl. People may say oh it's just a hamster, but just because they're little doesn't mean they arent loved.

So now I'm sitting here pondering what Sam's hamster is thinking about what happened while feeling sad and ridiculous. Now I don't think I want any little pet that has a short life span.

R.I.P San ♥

Disneyland!

Yesterday I went to Disneyland and I must say, it was one of my best trips I've taken there, and that says a lot, because I cant even count how many times I have been there.

We only had to get a couple of fast passes and most of the lines were relatively short. I also think they felt so short because we kept ourselves way too entertained. The three of us together, Ari, Melissa, and I, are simply too much when we are together.

One of the funniest things to me is when you see people at the beginning of the day and then you see them for the next few rides you go on. You know they recognize you too, so it is somewhat awkward and somewhat hilarious depending on who the people are. The most noteworthy group was the foreign family, they were so adorable. The mom had a pin that said "My 1st Visit", the dad thanked us in really good English when we let him go ahead to catch up with his family, the little girl was chatty, but their son was our favorite. He was probably too young for any of us, but seeing him throughout the day kept us entertained.

Anyways, back to the trip... Splash Mountain was much more fun than usual, probably because I wasnt't even close to being drenched. Here is our picture, don't be fooled, Ari's head is hiding but that arm is her clawing!

The rest of the day was just as fun as the beginning. I also must note that almost every single (good looking) guy was wearing plaid, my weakness. The most fun ride of the day though would have to be when we took the train. We expected just to take it to kill time waiting to use our Space Mountain fast pass, well we got much more than killed time! The conductor was hilarious and the people sitting in front went from being annoyed by us to loving us and being entertained (we were pretty good at that yesterday). During our chat it came up that I have been called the queen of Disneyland and things took off from there haha. I ended up naming Ari and Melis my princesses and we dubbed him Sir Lancelot, conductor to Queen Kimmy and her royal court. We loved him and he shook our caboose. It worked out nicely that his name really was Lance!

I think I shall end this post here because if I don't you'll be confused by the many inside jokes that you weren't there to get. I love my girls. I love Disneyland. A great start to the new year!

I miss Stripes and our foreign family!

Part 2

I just took a dinner break and now I'm back to finish this off!

August is full of adventure. In one week the boys were on a lot of different tapings and long story short, I didn't make it to any of them. So the main points where the Push Play concert and NASCAR.

September was the start of real change and really exciting things to come!
After talking online to Push Play for awhile I wanted to hang out while they were here recording in California and so we went out to breakfast!

Later on that same week I was chosen to go to the MTV VMA's for the JB performace. Even better, I got picked for rehearsal the night before. I cant even describe how amazing it was. The backlots were so cool, we were really close to them, and during rehearsal there was hardly anybody there.

Towards the end of the month Push Play was back for just a little over a day and they wanted to get together with me and the rest of the girls! They are truly great people and incredible musicians. You should check them out, www.myspace.com/pushplayrox

October was a month for rest but November came in full force! Let me tell you, it was the best birthday month EVER! My birthday was really fun, I had dinner with some good friends then went to a movie and my dad kept with tradition by taking me to Disneyland that week. I also went to San Diego for a Jonas Brothers concert and spent the weekend there with the girls and visited my sister. I even saw Twilight at midnight for the premiere... yeah, I'm cool. Ha!

I would have to say one of the coolest things not only this month but from this whole year was going to the American Music Awards. It's awesome to know people who know people.

What a year, what a year! December was just finals, working, and celebrating the holidays. I couldn't feel more blessed for everything I was able to do last year. Putting all of this stuff up probably makes me seem spoiled, but honestly I'm not. I just wanted to recall my year. Trust me, I've never done anything like before. These may be the "fun, celeb-filled " events, but my year was much more. My friends have been incredible this year through all the ups and downs. Like I said above, I have been so beyond blessed, if next year is even half what this was, it will be amazing. So, that 2008! I would love to stay and talk about what I hope for in 2009, but my laptop is about to die!

Happy New Year everyone!!

Reflecting

I cant even believe that it is already 2009! The past year flew by and I had some of the most amazing experiences EVER. So here I am to share them (mostly so I can have them all in one place to see for myself). I'll try to stick to the biggest things but knowing me, this will probably turn into a mini picture book.

Lets start with January. This was the beginning of my Jonas Brothers "phase". I'm not sure if that's the right word since I still love them, but I'm not crazy anymore haha.

This is when Kelly and I had quite the adventure going to the Gibson Box Office to buy concert tickets and the boys showed up... I almost died!

Now let's move on to February. On the second I went to the Supercross, then the next day was the Jonas Brothers concert. Then later on in the month I was a bridesmaid in Nicole's wedding.

As far as events go, March wasn't extremely eventful, but I did go to see the JB on Jimmy Kimmel. Since the few camera phone pictures I took are on my old phone, this will have to do.

April and May were dull months. Well I'm sure fun stuff went on, but no major events. Although.... the Jonas Brothers came in May to shoot their Target commercial (I know this because it's written on my calender). As you can guess, that was a sad day since I found out too late. I could have met them that day. Lame.

June was a pretty fun month. I almost went to a So You Think You Can Dance taping but my friends didn't want to wait in the heat so we left. My friends and I are nerds so we had a mini Camp Rock Party when it came out. June was also the month Sarah got married and I was a bridesmaid again!

I'll include July in this post then I'll start a new one because I think this is where a lot starts to happen. Obviously a highlight of my whole summer was the Jonas Burnin Up Tour with Demi opening. I originally planned on going to one concert but then things changed and I went to 3 in a row.
Day One: Irvine with Bre, Amanda, Melissa, and Ari

Oh I have to include this picture of Joe since it's my favorite

Day Two: Anaheim, God smiled upon me for this one. I was lucky enough to be picked as part of the audience for the taping of their 3D movie so Melis, Arz, and I went to the concert for FREE and got to be in the pit!

Then finally on day three I went with Beth to Anaheim again where TAYLOR SWIFT made a little guest appearance! Surprisingly, their shows don't get old.

I almost forgot, in July I also went to MotoGp!

Well this is getting long, so now I'm on to part two! At this point I seem like a crazed Jonas fan, but don't worry I get better and I had fun so who cares!
